Funding your account, the familiar way
You move money with the methods you already use every day: UK bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Every deposit and withdrawal is free of platform charges, and the processing time for each method is listed honestly below.
Your manager confirms the method that suits you on your first call, and you can mix methods over the life of the account, for example card deposits with withdrawals back to your bank.
A practical point for the first deposit: use an account in your own name. Payments from third-party accounts, including a partner's or a business account, are returned to source, because anti-money laundering rules require the money to come from you and go back to you.
Withdrawal methods
| Payment method | Type | Fee | Processing time |
|---|---|---|---|
| UK bank transfer (Faster Payments) | Bank transfer | Free | 1–5 business days |
| Visa | Debit or credit card | Free | 1–5 business days |
| Mastercard | Debit or credit card | Free | 1–5 business days |
| PayPal | Digital wallet | Free | Within 24 hours |
| Apple Pay | Digital wallet | Free | 1–5 business days |
| Google Pay | Digital wallet | Free | 1–5 business days |
How each withdrawal method works in practice:
- UK bank transfer. Withdrawals to your UK bank account are sent by Faster Payments once the internal review is complete. The one to five business day window allows for that review and for your own bank's processing; most requests arrive sooner.
- Visa and Mastercard. Card withdrawals are returned to the same card you deposited with, where your card issuer supports it. Final crediting depends on the issuer's own schedule, which is why the window extends to five business days.
- PayPal. If you deposited by PayPal, withdrawals return to that PayPal account and are normally available within 24 hours of approval, ready to spend or move on to your bank.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay. These wallets fund your card, so withdrawals are returned through the underlying card on the same one to five business day schedule.

Notes on depositing:
- Cards. Visa and Mastercard deposits are authorised in-app with your bank's verification step, and the funds normally reach your trading balance immediately after approval.
- PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Wallet deposits are the quickest route: authenticate on your device or in your wallet, and the balance is normally credited at once.
- Bank transfer. Faster Payments deposits are credited within one to three business days while reconciliation checks complete. Use the reference your manager gives you so the payment is matched to your account without delays.
Choosing between the methods
For speed, wallet deposits and PayPal are hard to beat, since funds are normally credited the moment your device authenticates the payment. For larger first deposits, a UK bank transfer remains the tidiest option: your bank's own confirmation and reference trail sit alongside the platform's records, which some users find reassuring at the start of a relationship. Cards sit comfortably in the middle and have the advantage of being the method most people can complete without thinking.
Whichever method you choose first becomes your default withdrawal route, though this can be discussed with your manager as the account matures. If in doubt, mention how you normally bank on your first call and the setup will follow your habits rather than fight them.
